Your quote is built up of a number of values which you need to set in order to ensure your bikes and equipment are covered under the Bikmo policy.
You are only covered for the values you state within your quote when you create your policy. Underestimating the value of your bike or equipment may mean that you're not covered in the event of an incident or theft.
Whether your bike is new, second-hand, stock or custom, we advise to use the same method to obtain its value...simply work out how much it would cost you to buy another one if the worst happened, as the value you set is the limit to what we'd pay out in the event of a claim.
It's really easy to generate your quote by following the 3 steps below:
Step 1 : How many bikes you want to insure, and their combined value
The total value is the value of all your bikes and equipment, including the maximum bike value described in step 2 below, less the bike accessories, clothing & helmets, and bike box.
You’ll be happy to hear that as standard, and included in your quote, you will be covered for:
€250 or 10% of the total sum insured for accessories
€250 or 10% of the total sum insured for clothing & helmets
€500 or 10% of the total sum insured for bike boxes
Step 2: The maximum value of bikes you take away from home
The maximum value away from home is the combined value of bikes that you’ll have away from the house at any one time. If that's just one bike, then it would be the most expensive bike. If you take more than one bike away, then it would be the combined value of those bikes.
For example:
- If you’re single and have 3 bikes, but only take away or ride one bike at a time then this will be the value of your most expensive bike.
- If you’re insuring 4 bikes as a couple, and ride together, then this figure may be the sum of both your most expensive bikes.
- If you compete in triathlons or cyclo-cross, and are taking your race bike and second bike, then this value would be the sum of both bikes you take to events.

Your quoted premium will now be displayed below, and you'll have two policy options. If you need to, you can amend your values and update your quote before deciding on which policy suits you best.
