How do I make a claim?

Fill in Bikmo’s online claim form from your customer account: [TO CONFIRM: claim form link]

Bikmo will send your claim to Chubb. Chubb will then be in contact with you to confirm receipt, assess your claim and decide what to pay.

‍

How quickly must I tell you?

  • If you hurt someone or damage their property: tell us immediately. If you get any letters or legal papers, send them to us as soon as you get them.
  • If you get hurt: tell us within 30 days of the accident. If you are too ill, someone else can tell us for you.

If you tell us late, we may pay less or not pay at all.

What information will I need?

  • your policy number
  • the date, time and place of the accident, and what happened
  • photos, and the names and phone numbers of any witnesses
  • for injuries: letters or reports from your doctor or hospital
  • receipts or invoices for any costs, for example physiotherapy, dental treatment or childcare
  • a crime reference number, if someone attacked you.

You must pay for any doctor’s letters or reports yourself.

After an injury, you must follow your doctor’s advice. We may ask you to see a doctor we choose. If we do, we pay for this.

‍

I have a question about my claim. Who do I contact?

After you make a claim, contact Chubb’s claims team:

  • Phone: 0345 841 0059
  • Email: uk.claims@chubb.com

Please have your claim number ready.

‍

How will I get paid?

We pay in pounds (£) into your UK bank or building society account.

If you die, we pay your estate.

‍

Can I claim for both parts of my cover from one accident?

Yes. For example, you crash into a parked car while you deliver, and you break your wrist. You can claim for the damage to the car and for your broken wrist.

‍

Is there an excess?

An excess is the part of a claim you pay yourself.

  • If you get hurt: there is only an excess for dental claims. You pay the first £10 of any repair to dentures, and a £15 call-out fee.
  • If you hurt someone or damage their property: [TO CONFIRM: excess amount, or confirm there is no excess]

‍

What if I give wrong information?

Always tell the truth when you buy your policy and when you make a claim.

If a claim is false or made bigger than it really is, we will not pay it. You will have to pay back any money we have paid. We will cancel your policy and will not give back any payments.
