What is Courier Protect?

Courier Protect is insurance for people who deliver for Amazon Now on an e-bike. One policy gives you two types of cover:

  • If you get hurt in an accident. We pay money to you, or to your family, up to £50,000. The amount depends on the injury.

Courier Protect is an annual policy. It lasts for 12 months, and you pay for it each month. It costs £14.84 a month.

Why do I need insurance to deliver for Amazon Now?

Amazon asks every Amazon Now rider to have two types of insurance before they can deliver:

  • Public liability insurance. This covers you if you hurt someone or damage their property.
  • Personal accident insurance. This pays you money if you are injured in an accident.

Courier Protect gives you both.

Accidents can happen to anyone. If you hurt someone, they can ask you to pay for their injury or damage. This can cost a lot of money. Courier Protect pays this for you, so you can work without worry.

‍

Do I have to buy Courier Protect?

No. You must have public liability and personal accident insurance, but you can buy it from any insurer. If you buy it somewhere else, check that it meets Amazon’s rules.

We made Courier Protect for Amazon Now riders. It is designed to meet Amazon’s insurance requirements.
